The Second Lost Immortal
Hua Kavay was a young promising student at the Quiet Dragon School. He was from a nearby fishing village, but was nonetheless very gifted in all the ten skills that emperor Metsyla had appreciated. He had studied for several years under the tutelage of the most perfect masters of the school and was quickly rising to great draconic consciousness. Still, his hearth was sad, because he knew that all his former friends in the village were unable to tell the truth from lies. He also knew that the whole land was under the yoke of the evil Emperor of Lies. *
Therefore, he went to meet his master and said that he had to go back to the world to help it. The master asked why he was leaving the school. The student replied that he did not know, but he had to help the people outside the school who were in trouble. The master urged his student to remain and study his dragon self. The student replied that his master had taught him to be true to himself. The master did not reply. The student clothed himself in a simple red garb and left the Glade of the Introspective Mind behind him.
During his travels, Hua Kavay encountered many dangers. The Brotherhood of the Seven Fatal Poisons was at him as soon as he had left the monastery. The Beast Folk ambushed him before he could reach the gates of the first city on his way. Hungry ghouls, that the Huan To had fed with the bodies of the women and children they had killed, encircled him after he had asked for the way. Despite difficulties, Hua Kavay prevailed.
Soon Hua came to the edge of his home province and crossed it. He no longer knew the people he helped, but he felt that his work was valuable. This was why all who stood in his way fell, the blows that rained in his hide were deflected and the dangers that lurked him were foreseen. Indeed the Dragon's Eye already dwelled within him.
Hua helper the suffering, defended the innocent, discerned the truth from the lie and gave justice to those who lived without it. In the midst of all this darkness, an evil presence noticed him. Hua felt that something had noticed him. He saw that it was a giant skull living among deranged people. Curved horns adorned its forehead, its fanged mouth was twisted into a perpetual grimace and green light burned in its eye sockets. Hua foresaw that he had to face this enemy and so he sought it out.
Hua's nemesis lived deep in a underground temple guarded by seven times seven times seven cultists that had fallen from the right path, seven times seven priests who knew spells that flayed the souls of lesser men right of their bodies and seven dark murderers schooled in the martial arts of the anti-dragons. After Hua had fought his way through them, he finally got to the creature that he had sought. He called it the Shadow of Tien**.
The monstrous skull rested on a giant altar. It was like a mask that covered the world in front of Hua Kavays eyes. The evil presence within reached out towards Hua and asked, "Why are you here?" Hua pondered for a moment and answered that he did not know, but he was going to destroy all the servants of the Emperor of Lies and oust the False Emperor from the throne. "So, you do not know where you are coming from." the Shadow said and Hua saw that that was the truth. "How are you going to defeat Emperor of Lies?" the Shadow asked and Hua did not know, but said that his intentions were pure so he would surely prevail. "So, you do not know where you are going." the Shadow said and Hua saw that that was the truth. The Shadow laughed and stated that now Hua must truly be free then, as his master would have wanted. He continued taunting Hua by adding that it was a pity that he had not seen Hua's master ever helping suffering mortals.
After hearing this Hua was greatly angered and he clenched his fists to control his rage, for his master was very dear to him. Finally, the Shadow of Tien asked: "Who are you, then?" After that, Hua Kavay could no longer control himself. He attacked the Shadow of Tien with his scales glinting in the scarce lighting, maw gouting blue lightning and nails cutting the basalt floor underneath him! "I'm certainly not my master", Hua yelled. The Shadow of Tien laughed and said: "You don't even know who you are."
Thus it was. The mind of the student of the Quiet Dragon School was drunk empty of all knowledge and Hua Kavay was left wandering in the broken world with his mind painfully numb.
