The Third Lost Immortal
Whilst the Imperial Throne lacked a rightful ruler, Kralorela suffered. Many people had even forgotten their good manners and the right behavior. The land groaned because the good Dragon Emperor was lost. Lawlessness was becoming more common and indeed the whole world was turning upside down. The delinquents took tax from the patricians and the citizens of the good land mingled and mated with the hankalo*, chestelo** and the nichung***.
The land needed a hero and Heen Man knew it. His forefathers had known great wisdom and he remembered a lot of that wisdom. He had learned the Bows of the Seven Vertebrates from his grandfather. He used it to balance his mind and his body.
After a lengthy period of meditating and planning, Heen Man left his home to find a way to bring peace to the land. During his travels he whooped the asses of bandits and villains and did several other deeds that the simple folk held in high regard. Finally, after long journeys he understood that he had to get help from the dragons. Thrunin Da was the only dragon that his ancestors had known, so he decided to seek it.
Therefore, Heen Man traveled to the shore of the sea, performed the Solemn Rites of Brotherly Affection, and sat down to meditate. After meditating for many years* he quickly saw to his bodily needs and ate a fish that had leaped in his arms. It was then, when a shape that was beyond all human comprehension rose from the sea. For an instance, he saw perfection in all its beauty and terror. The dragon that he had searched came from the hidden depts. Then the largest tsunami that anyone had seen flushed Heen Man into the depths destroying 10 coastal cities, 100 fishing villages in the coast and 1000 smaller inland settlements in the process.
As he was below the crushing waves, Heen Man dreamt. In the dream, he encountered a large dragon bathing in waters both blue and white. He asked for a boon from the dragon so he could save Kralorela. The dragon posed a question for him. "If you begin your journey with your right foot, will you also end it with it?" Heen Man deducted that a journey could end with the left leg as well as the right leg no matter with which leg it had been started with, but he did not have time to answer, because he woke up.
Heen Man had been washed a shore on a beach far from his hometown. Beside him, he noticed the Jade Circle. He was glad and began analyzing its structure and abilities carefully, because he was sure that this was the dragon's boon.
The Jade Circle had amazing properties indeed. Its outer shell was so hard that even the sharpest sword could not dent it and when Heen Man blew his breath through it, the breath was transformed into a flame that was hotter that the forges of the Ministry of Fire! He later learned other magical ways that he could use to perform many more incredible feats and magic's with the Circle.
Armed with the Jade Circle Heen Man beat countless enemies and even the servants of Sekever loathed facing him. Yet he was not pleased. He reasoned that since he was just one man, as Fong Fei***** had been before him, he could not achieve any permanent victories. It was true though, that after he died, he could pass the Jade Circle on to his successor, but he did not even want to consider this option. He could not be everywhere at the same time and he got tired with battling against the minions of Sekever. Therefore, he decided to speak to the dragon again.
He arrived to the Shore of Kahars Sea, but got frustrated quickly after meditating for a while. Because ever since he had used the Circle, he had neglected the teachings of his ancestors. He deducted that Thrunin Da did not want to meet him again. This made him so mad that his face turned black from his anger.
Enraged, he turned all his new knowledge and power to the sea and demanded the true dragon to appear! His power was not enough however. Still angry, he called the River out and the dragon living at its bottom woke up. However, it did not know how to summon Thrunin Da. Therefore, he called forth the Hill, but the dragon that burrowed from under it said that it did not know Thrunin Da.
Heen Man started thinking again and he concluded that he just did not have enough jade to summon the dragon. That is why he spent the rest of his days gathering more jade and more information on how to get the sea to listen. He died old and lonely after the True Emperor returned.
